Description

Ellen Clapsaddle Halloween Card
This is NOT a postcard; it’s sort of a mini-postcard published by Wolf. Smaller than the typical postcards of the time, this card measures 4.75 by 3.25 inches. There’s nothing printed on the back. Wolf issued these cards for New Year, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas. I believe they were sold with envelopes for mailing. Some of them have an image that also appeared on a Wolf postcard, others do not. Serial number 357 in lower right corner.
Boy trying to divine the future took a blindfolded blow and the candle that went out told him he’ll have Lady Luck on his side during his like. Probably the best of the three.
Overall grade: very good

My Selling Philosophy
I try to make the scan sufficiently sharp enough for you to judge the condition of the card. I strongly believe in allowing you to clearly see what you would be buying—no fuzzy digital photos here. I also try to note obvious defects in my description. None of that “See Scan” stuff for me. If you have any questions, fire away. I’m always happy to respond to any email questions as soon as possible.
All postcards are vintage, unless otherwise clearly stated.
If you’re looking for any specific holiday or artist signed postcard, drop me an email. I have good finding skills.
And thanks for your patronage, whether it’s buying or just looking.
Getting Your Purchase to You
Following the auction, I will send you an invoice. I’m usually pretty prompt, but I typically have quite a few invoices to send.
I want to keep my shipping costs as low as possible. $3-$4 to mail a less than an ounce postcard?!?
Nope!!
If you want tracking or insurance, though, let me know. That will cost more.
I try to get to the post office at least twice a week, sometimes more. I always get there on a Monday, so if you’re interested in rapid delivery, you’re best bet is a payment by midday on a Sunday.
Shipping always combined for multiple purchases. If you win multiple items, please wait for the invoice so I can combine mailing. Pay by PAYPAL. International bids are very welcome.
