Very Rare and wonderful, original 1911 Embossed Chromolithograph Halloween Postcard by Ellen Clapsaddle published by the International Art Publishing Co. of New York in outstanding, original condition.
This wonderful Postcard measures approx. 3 1/2” by 5 1/2” and has an early divided back. It features a charming image of a young farm boy with his dog by his side. The boy (and the dog) are marveling at the sight of three wonderful Jack-O-Lanterns on a shelf. Text at the bottom of the Card reads simply “A Happy Halloween”. The Image is signed in the plate by the artist – Ellen Clapsaddle – and is copyright 1911 by the International Art Publishing Co.
This wonderful Clapsaddle Halloween Postcard is unconditionally guaranteed original and of the period. It is NOT a reprint, reproduction, reissue or modern printing but an original Postcard printed and distributed ca1911. It carries our unconditional return privilege and lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
This rare and wonderful, 1911 Embossed Chromolithograph Halloween Postcard is in excellent condition. It is unused and exceptionally well preserved. The colors are bright and vibrant and the surface “as new”. The corners are ever so slightly bumped with just a minuscule surface scuff at the upper right hand corner and there are no creases, tears, physical damage, repairs or wear. Overall the Postcard is exceptionally well preserved and displays beautifully.
